Daniela De Pasquale is an expert in dealing with protection of industrial property assets, new technology law, media and advertising markets and, more generally, the legal profiles of the digital industry.

Massimiliano Pappalardo has developed a consolidated experience in the field of intellectual property, protection of personal data and Information Technology – in particular in the sectors of the digital economy, luxury and fashion – also for the purpose of protecting intangible assets.

Ughi e Nunziante strengthens its Milan office with the addition of a renowned Employment team led by partner Federico Torzo, along with associates Elisabetta Rebagliati and Laura Corbeddu, and Linda Favi, who is specialized in Tax Law.

Born in 1966 in Venice, Federico graduated “cum laude” at the Alma Mater University of Bologna. He has an outstanding track record in complex transactions, has been mentioned several times in Legal500 and Chambers, and is fluent in English, German, French and Italian.  Federico joins us along with Elisabetta Rebagliati and Laura Corbeddu.

Linda Favi specializes in Tax Law, and brings an impressive professional background gained at Allen & Overy, Fantozzi e Associati, SJ Berwin and KPMG. Linda will reinforce the Tax Law practice led by partner Antonello Lupo.

Marco Misiti joins Ughi e Nunziante as Partner

Marco Misiti has joined Ughi e Nunziante as a partner. He will be working with the Private Equity and M&A team, mainly at the firm’s Milan office, while also maintaining a presence in Rome.

Marco is an expert in M&A, Private Equity, Banking and Finance, and Corporate Law in general. He brings more than twenty years of experience in supporting financial institutions and an important track record of transactions in industries such as real estate, energy, pharmaceutical, food, and consumer goods.

Marco began his career at Capua and Varrenti and then moved on to Simmons & Simmons. He was then partner at d’Urso Munari Gatti and at Alpeggiani & Associati, his last position before joining Ughi e Nunziante.

Francesca Ricci appointed Partner at Ughi E Nunziante

Ughi e Nunziante strengthens its Capital Markets, M&A and Private Equity team with the appointment of Francesca Ricci as partner.

At Ughi e Nunziante since 2017, Francesca studied at Luiss and SDA Bocconi, and is an expert in corporate governance, financial markets, corporate law and international contracts.

Francesca has assisted many companies in the listing process on the regulated market and on AIM, and has worked for important clients in the energy and pharmaceutical sectors. She also has experience at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and at Norton Rose Fulbright, and was an independent director of listed companies.

Ughi e Nunziante with Avanzalia in the sale of six solar power plants to the IKAV fund

IKAV Global Energy Sarl and the AVANZALIA Group seal their first purchase agreement in Italy. Specifically, the Luxembourg Fund purchased six solar power plants from the Spanish Group. Furthermore, the companies have agreed to look for other opportunities to work together towards the development of the AVANZALIA Group worldwide.

The Avanzalia Group specializes in the promotion, development and design of sustainable energy, industrial scale solar plants and PPAs with corporate clients.

Avanzalia was assisted by Ughi e Nunziante, with a team composed of partner Gianluigi Pugliese and senior associate Anna Vanni, as well as partner Antonello Lupo and associate Francesca Veroli on tax matters.

Ughi e Nunziante with Munich RE in the sale of Syncronos Italia

The law firm Ughi e Nunziante has assisted Munich Re, world leader in the field of reinsurance, in the sale of Syncronos Italia to DUAL Italia, a company part of the British group Hyperion.

Founded in 2009 in joint venture between Reale Mutua and Munich Re, and controlled by the latter, Synkronos Italia was the first MGA – Managing General Agent incorporated in Italy.

The parties will continue to cooperate according to agency contracts. In particular, Great Lakes Insurance SE, part of the Munich Re Group, and Italiana Assicurazioni, a company of the Reale Mutua Group, have confirmed their support in the engineering, fine arts and benefits sectors.

(Italia Oggi)  In 2017, the Italian Stock Exchange ranked second in Europe in terms of raising of capital. Around 19 billion euro were raised through 39 separate transactions, 32 of which were initial public offers (ipo). Business lawyers – advisors for most of the transactions – are satisfied: according to big firms, a surge in the number of listed entities not only livens up the Italian stock market, but it is also a harbinger of increased transparency and professionalization of business managers, and leads to the rationalization of business and industrial procedures.

Ughi e Nunziante with RHI-Magnesita in the divestment of the dolomite business

RHI AG, a global leader in refractories, merged with Brazil’s Magnesita Refratários S.A. at the end of October giving birth to a global leader in the refractory products sector, with €  2.5 bn revenues (pro forma 2016). The European Commission approved the concentration subject to conditions including the sale of RHI’s entire business in the European Economic Area for refractory products made from dolomite.

In the auction sale, Intocast AG from Ratingen, Germany, was the successful bidder to whom the business went following EC approval.  The transaction included the sale of RHI’s Italian subsidiary Dolomite Franchi S.p.A.

RHI AG was advised by Martin Hartl and Giuseppe Coco, respectively of counsel and partner of Ughi e Nunziante.

Luigi Cascone named partner at Ughi e Nunziante

Ughi e Nunziante is pleased to announce that Senior Associate Luigi Cascone has been promoted to Partner effective July 1, 2017.
 Luigi Cascone joined Ughi e Nunziante in 2012 after gaining extensive experience in a leading law firm. While Litigation and Arbitration represents his main practice area, with particular focus in the energy, finance and insurance fields, Luigi also acts as a consultant on corporate and contract law matters in the latter sectors.

He also represents French-speaking clients, as a member of the French Desk, founded and headed by partner Laurence Bulan, member of the Paris bar.
